What do you love most about the game of basketball?
I love all the things that it has taught me, it’s so much more than “just a game”. It’s shaped every aspect of my character. I also love that there’s always something that I can do better, there’s nothing that can be “perfected”.
Can you tell me about your recruiting experience and why you ultimately chose your school?
At first, it was really stressful. But once I learned how to balance it all, I had fun with it. There are so many great schools, but when people say “there’s a feeling you get when you get on the right campus”, they’re right. The vibe that TCU gives off is indescribable, and from the first visit I knew there was something special about it. I waited a while, and that feeling didn't change, it deepened. I love the coaches. They really make it feel like a family.
What has been your favorite part of playing in the Texas Elite organization?
The family that came with it. I’ve developed life long relationships with a great group of people. Being surrounded by people who all want a common goal and are all willing to work hard for it makes basketball a lot more fun.
What are your expectations for the upcoming High School season?
To continue to be a leader for my team on and off the court. I want to set an example and make a lasting impact on the organization that spreads. We are working towards completing the “missions” our coach gives us, and taking it day by day. Ultimately, we want district and state championships.
What are your expectations for the next level?
I will continue to work hard and prove why I belong there. I will be a presence on the court and carry over my leadership.
