Coach D’Addieco has coached basketball for a total of 25 seasons. He is in his 4th year with Texas Elite adidas. Since joining in 2018, his Texas Elite teams have won 10 championships and placed in the top 3 in 23 tournaments. Highlights include runner-up at the 2020 Super 64 National Championship, runner-up at the 2020 Primetime Nationals, back-to-back 2019 and 2020 Alodia National Champions, runner-up at the 2020 She’s Ballin’ Extravaganza, and an impressive 6-1 run at the 2019 AAU Nationals in Tennessee.
Coach D’Addieco’s coaching career began while living in California. He served as President of the Bakersfield Heat Girls AAU Basketball Club prior to moving to Texas in 2009. While in CA, Coach D’Addieco was mentored by JC Hall of Fame & European professional Coach Jim Parks, a 4-time JC state champion, 1983 National JC Coach of the Year, California JC Coach of the Year, 1978 Dutch National Coach of the Year, and coach of the 1979 Austrian National Championship team UBSC Wien. Coach Parks’ influence is still evident with Coach Tony today.
Coach D’Addieco received multiple collegiate offers in both football and lacrosse. He played 4 years of NCAA football (Running back) and 2 years of NCAA track & field (100M, 200M, 4x100M, 55M) while at Carnegie Mellon University from 1999-2002, including an ECAC Bowl victory in football and two UAC Conference Championship appearances in track. He played his high school football and lacrosse at Grand Island High School (NY), achieving All-Conference and Offensive MVP in football and two-time All-Conference, All-Western New York, and Western NY All-Star team honors in lacrosse. He started in back-to-back Western New York championship games in lacrosse, and was the Featured Spotlight Player during the pregame television broadcast. He was rated as the 4th fastest high school football player in Western New York, and interviewed by the local news station as a Breakout Performer. He also started for the FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) National Lacrosse Team in high school.
Coach D’Addieco earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Southern California (USC). He is currently a Director at Occidental Petroleum in Houston, responsible for the engineering, operations, construction, logistics, and project management organizations.
Coach D'Addieco and his wife Alicia have 2 daughters; Caitlyn is a current player for Texas Elite Adidas and Sydney is a former Katy Rebel who received multiple offers in both basketball and track & field. Sydney is a recent graduate of UT-Tyler where she was a Thrower on the Track & Field team. She is now teaching Kindergarten in Tyler, TX and assistant coaching for the Texas Elite team. Sydney was an All-District basketball player & MVP for Tompkins High School in Katy, TX. She was also a school record holder in the shot put and placed 3rd in District, becoming the first athlete in Tompkins history to qualify for Area Championships. Sydney is also a former American and Texas record holding Powerlifter.
